Hawaiian resident, started a fire in a restaurant with a cigarette, was sentenced to a ban on smoking within a year.
In the first stage of the proceedings against the Macau-Bechmen Madzhamaya was charged with arson 3rd degree. Shaking a lighted cigarette, he called the fire which was extinguished using buckets of water. Trial counsel smoker convinced the court that his client's actions were unintentional. As a result, the court was charged with criminal trespass of property 3rd degree.
District Judge Joel Augusta awarded a 19-year-old Hawaiian fine in the amount of 1,025 dollars, public works and the annual ban on smoking.
